Been listening to The Pierces on "Later Live... with Jools Holland" and though the tune is fairly ordinary the electric guitar sound is wondrous, took me back to the Piranha guitar on "In The Shadows" that first turned me on to The Stranglers - mindst you that was way bassed up on a cafe jukebox. Anyone know what kind of guitar The Pierces used on the show as I would imagine the sound is peculiar to that type. Can't find the name of this guitarist either, only the duo. You listen to the sisters singing and playing and then like a bolt from the blue his guitar takes it to a different space, sigh. Then Heaven 17. The males voices have aged but hers has not and so carries the song. Absolutely belting it out with the same energy and clarity. A divatastic blast. Wowsers !
